All I can say is: WOW.

Ady An has officially put the mixiu mixiu behind her (perhaps too quickly for the Autumn’s Concerto fans to adapt hahah). In the midst of filming her latest Chinese period drama, Fight and Love with a Terracotta Warrior (古今大戰秦俑情), Ady specially took 3 days of leave to star in Journey to the West (西游记), aka Monkey, the latest drama adaptation of the great classical novel, where she plays the White Bone Demon (白骨精).

I’ve noticed Chinese actors really are workaholics. Since Autumn’s Concerto, Ady has had three dramas lined up: Fight and Love with a Terracotta Warrior, Journey to the West, and Water Margin, aka Shui Hu Zhuan (水浒传). I’m sure it’s because their filming schedules don’t clash, but this is still rather unthinkable in KdramaLand where everyone has a “comeback” drama once in a while yeah? :/

Journey to the West is produced by Zhang Ji Zhong, whom Ady worked with in Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre (倚天屠龙记). Apparently since confirmation of the said demon role, Ady has been scouring the Internet to look for inspirations to combine various elements to produce a refreshing image. I would say she has pretty much succeeded.. check out that ice glare in the last pic! *ducks*
